The peer executive will engage the audience for brief introductions and discuss the format and key take aways from the guided interactive conversation and dinner discussion.

Guided Interactive Conversation (35 minutes)

Advantages of designing a private cloud for your business that mirrors the flexibility and architecture of cloud providers like Amazon and Google. 

Comparing various architectural options and what is the right choice for your own private cloud deployments.

Additional key topics: • Various private cloud architectures • How to evaluate private cloud architectures through various lenses • A practical comparison of performance of selected architectures.

Open Forum Discussion (45 minutes)

The discussion will be based on the list of challenges, problems discussed already and will take the format of group brainstorming and open discussion to come up with possible suggestions and solutions to common challenges at the Executive IT level. We will also touch on a variety of other organically introduced topics.

Nathan Hall, VP of Systems Engineering for Pure Storage

Nathan Hall is VP of Systems Engineering for Pure Storage, and is responsible for leading the 300 person Americas SE organization, setting and communicating the technical strategy for Pure in the Americas theater, shaping customer insights and feedback into product direction, and driving new growth, strategy and implementation agendas that deliver real business results for Pure and Pure’s customers.  Prior to his career at Pure, Nathan led the North America server specialist technology organization for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, supporting $2B in annual revenue and focused on cloud, hyperconverged, composable, and blade infrastructure products and services.   Nathan came to HPE via its acquisition of the pioneering Hyperconverged startup SimpliVity, where Nathan led the Americas field technology organization and engaged in a range of pre and post-acquisition key company strategic initiatives from margin improvement and customer experience improvement to leading multiple workstreams of the HPE organizational integration and launch of the HPE SimpliVity 380 product and sales strategy.  Nathan has also held several other notable roles in the technology industry including co-founder and Chief Architect of ColdStor Data, where he led the design, was awarded patents, and brought to market the world’s first purpose-built for archive cloud storage service.
